Notes settings in one place, section titles that stay in view
- Settings → Features has a «Notes» section: the editing mode as three options, and separate switches for note links, tags and «Made from» under a note (switching one off only hides it).
- In All notes the section titles are larger and stay at the top while you scroll; on a phone the line above them shows where you are.
- On a phone the icons under messages are back, the paperclip opens a small menu that stays with the message field, and a sheet's second step has a round back button.
- On a phone the «i» pictures in Settings show the phone's own screens.
- All platforms
Your default editing mode, and Notes by keyboard
- Settings → Features: choose the mode a note opens in for editing — Classic, Notion or Markdown. The Markdown switch is gone; Markdown is simply one of the three.
- A voice message being turned into text now shows the same moving waves as the message field.
- All notes grouped by folder follow your folders' order, with subfolders named by their path.
- On a computer, in Notes: ← takes you to the folders, ↑ ↓ move between them, Enter opens one, → brings you back to the notes. Reading a note, ⇧← returns to the list. The «⋯» beside the list's title now looks like the others.
- In the iPhone app the paperclip opens its own sheet — Photo Library, Take Photo, Choose Files — that stays with the keyboard; the system menu no longer hangs in the middle of the screen. With the new app version the library, camera and Files open directly.
- The Graph page is more compact: no line under the title, and on a computer the Atoms / Notes switch stands beside it. In the phone's top bar the Graph's name now appears together with the others.
- All platforms
The file menu stays with its field, and the Graph is in the phone's header
- On a phone with the keyboard up, the paperclip's menu (photo library, camera, files) no longer hangs alone in the middle of the screen: the message field stays where it was under the menu, and the keyboard comes back to it when you close the menu or pick a photo.
- The Graph is now in the phone's top bar, beside the chat, threads, topics and notes.
- The Graph zooms in much further, so a dense knot of related things can be pulled apart.
- All platforms
All notes in sections, as in Apple Notes
- All notes now stand in sections by date, as in Apple Notes: Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days, Previous 30 days, then months and years. The «⋯» beside the title lets you group by month or by folder instead, or not at all — and holds the sort.
- A folder's menu offers the same grouping.
- On a phone, a sheet's choices (sort, grouping, editing mode) now slide in and out smoothly, the sheet growing or shrinking to fit.
- The Notes page's message field has the paperclip too: photos and files go to its chat as they do in the main chat, with the same buttons to file them in a note.
- All platforms
⌘N, shortcut sets from Linear, Obsidian and Notion, and a calmer field
- On a computer ⌘N makes a new note (in the Mac app; a browser keeps ⌘N for its own windows).
- Settings → Shortcuts has sets: Cognitive OS, Linear, Obsidian or Notion — the keys you already know from those apps, for the same actions.
- The button that opens the page chat on a computer is now a small round chevron, lined up with Send; the open chat folds with the same circle.
- On a phone the field's words appear smoothly as it widens, instead of jumping from a cut phrase to the whole one.
- Searching notes keeps the Send button beside the cross.
- The paperclip no longer takes the cursor out of the message field, so the keyboard can stay up while you pick a file.
- All platforms
The chat folds cleanly, and the editor's bar stays on one line
- On a phone a page chat now folds with its field already back in place: the field draws back beside «+» and search as the chat closes, instead of lying across them and shrinking afterwards. Its words no longer run under the microphone and Send.
- On the chat the message field widens together with the keyboard again, instead of jumping wider once it is up.
- The paperclip moved to the left of the message field.
- On a computer the note editor's toolbar never breaks onto a second line: tools that do not fit go under «⋯» and come back when the window is wider.
- All platforms
Smoother on the phone, keyboard shortcuts, and three ways to write
- On a phone the message field and the page chats open and fold more smoothly and a little slower, with no jumps or square corners at the end.
- Recording a voice message no longer hides or raises the keyboard. While you speak, the field shows your voice as live bars and a clock; while it turns into text, a calm animated line.
- Coming back to the app with a page chat open, it is folded — the field no longer jumps while the keyboard returns.
- On a computer: keyboard shortcuts — ⌘1–⌘5 for the sections (in the Mac app), ⌘K to open a note, C for a new note, / for the message field, ? for the list. Change them in Settings → Shortcuts; FAQ → Keyboard shortcuts lists them.
- In Notes on a computer you can rename a note right in the list, move through notes with the arrow keys, choose several with Shift or ⌘ and move, archive or delete them together.
- The editor's «⋯» now holds the editing mode: Classic, Notion (no toolbar — select words to format, «/» for blocks) or Markdown. The last one you chose opens next time.
- Leave a note with text but no title and it gets a name from what it says; a note in no folder is offered one. If both, it is one short dialog.
- Smaller things: the note's title keeps its size when you start editing, the keyboard's ✓ takes you into the text, the arrow to the latest message sits closer to the field, and the sections' bar no longer twitches after a page change.
- All platforms
Photos and documents
- Attach photos and documents in the chat — the paperclip, paste or drag: up to 10 at once, 20 MB each; JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, PDF, Word, text, Markdown and RTF.
- Ask about a file and the chat just answers. Say «save it» and it puts the file in a fitting note, says where, offers Move and Undo, and asks whether to write a summary into the note, here, or both.
- In a note, add a photo or a file from «/», the Insert menu, the toolbar, or by pasting or dragging. It is read when you save — every page of a PDF — and the note's text stays as you wrote it.
- Later questions find what is inside your files and name the note, the file and the page, with a link to the note at the file.
- Delete a file once and it is gone everywhere: from notes, the chat and search.
- In the iPhone and Android apps the paperclip comes with their next build.

Smoother menus, a clearer Back, and keys that find their way
- On a phone, a page opened from the menu now appears under the menu as it slides away — no more empty flash behind it.
- The phone's Back button says where it goes even on a page you opened from a link: «Back: Notes», not «Back: Back».
- A message sent without a connection keeps you in the chat with your words in place, instead of the browser's error page.
- Words typed into the chat while the page is still loading are kept — they used to vanish the moment it finished.
- On an iPad the Send button is never under the memory corner's chip, and the front page's section links move into its menu instead of running under «Sign in».
- Times in an idea's conversation and on your list of ideas are shown in your own time zone, without a flicker in Safari.
- On a phone, «To the source message» in a thread lands on that message instead of the end of the chat, and Enter in a new note's title always moves on into the note.
- A sheet sliding away no longer catches a tap meant for the page under it.
- On a phone the sections at the top of the chat stay put as it opens — they used to slide aside a moment later, so a quick tap could miss.
- Settings tabs follow the arrow keys, and closing a menu with Esc puts the keyboard back on the button that opened it.
- On a narrow computer window «New note» no longer sits past the edge of Notes, and the front page's section links move at their intended pace.
- Screen readers and keyboards: the front page's live examples no longer hide buttons you can still reach, the examples' swipe row can be scrolled from the keyboard, and the Mac download link on the Import page is underlined.
- All platforms
Tidier pages, and a chat on Threads and Topics
- On a phone, a note's, a folder's, a topic's and a thread's controls are behind «⋯» beside the title — one tidy sheet instead of a row of icons.
- Threads and Topics have their own chat at the bottom, as Notes does; on a phone you search them from the field.
- Switching the Notes style no longer moves anything at the top or reloads the chat, and a short list no longer scrolls.
- The search in the field ends as soon as the keyboard goes down.
- WebDesktop
A tidier chat button in Notes
- On a computer, the arrow that opens a note's or Notes' chat now sits inside the field's top corner — in the same place as the arrow that folds it.
- All platforms
Search from the field, menus where you click, and tidier notes
- On a phone, Notes has a search button next to «+»: type in the field and the matching notes appear right away — in this folder, or everywhere.
- On a computer, right-click a note for its menu; a folder's menu sorts from one «Sorting» row; a new note opens with its title ready to type, and «‹ Notes» takes you back — offering to delete the note if nothing was written.
- Hide a note's tags, links and sources with the icons under its title, or all at once in Settings → Appearance; a folder now says how many notes it holds.
- Pinning on a phone moves a folder smoothly step by step, and leaving an empty note's editor no longer makes the page jump.
- All platforms
A smooth language switch
- Switching between Русский and English in Settings — or on the sign-in page — now fades the page into the new language instead of swapping every word at once.
- All platforms
Titles you edit in place, lists that fit, and pins that move
- Rename a note, a folder, a thread or a topic right where its title stands: tap it, type, and tap away — no field, no buttons, nothing jumps. Esc puts the old title back.
- A short list of notes no longer scrolls, on a phone or a computer; pinning a note or a folder glides it to the top of its list. On a phone, holding a note opens its actions — «Edit» first — and they stay until you tap outside.
- Delete a whole block in the note editor: the bin beside a block on a computer, the bin in the editor's bar on a phone.
- Threads and topics are listed as cards; Settings → Features shows a picture of each feature behind its «i»; tooltips appear next to their buttons again; in a computer's Notes the tree and Apple views share one top line.
- In the iPhone app the message field widens and narrows together with the keyboard; with the next app update the menu loses the white lines at the screen's edges and the keyboard moves a little slower, the same on every page.
- All platforms
Pins, deleting your account, and pages that don't wait
- Pin notes and folders in Notes: a note pinned in a folder stays pinned there, separately from «All notes». On a phone, press and hold a note or a folder for its actions.
- You can now delete your account yourself: Settings → Profile → Danger zone.
- Threads and topics open like notes — title, dates and one row of buttons; to continue a topic, just write in the field at the bottom.
- On a phone, pages open faster and Back always slides; the menu's rows are all one size; switching between Apple Notes and tree view on a computer is instant.
- All platforms
Folders look like notes, and smoother phones
- A folder now opens like a note: its name, when it was made and last changed, and one line of buttons — with 👍 👎 at the end, so you can tell us how well a folder was put together.
- On a phone the sections read Chat, Threads, Topics, Notes and are easier to tap; in Notes the «+» sits to the left of the field, and inside a folder it offers a note or a subfolder.
- The message field widens smoothly as the keyboard comes up, a short list of notes no longer scrolls into empty space, and Settings switch tabs without a stutter.
- In the iPhone app the bottom sheets reach the screen's edge without a white line — with the next app update.
- All platforms
A clearer FAQ, an Import tab, and alike Topics and Threads
- The help is now the FAQ: sections with emojis, screenshots of each page, questions that open in place, no tables, and its chat answers briefly in plain words with a link to one of our articles.
- Settings always open on Profile; the Data tab became Import — Apple Notes, Obsidian, or ask us for somewhere else.
- Topics and Threads look alike: the same rows, each with its own icon and a «⋯» menu.
- On a phone the menu groups its sections, starts with your account, and the Notes style pictures sit side by side.
- Notes on a computer: folders line up with their heading, the style switch stays in one place, and the search keeps its width.
- The Graph's categories close when you click elsewhere and fold away smoothly; chats open smoothly the first time too.
- All platforms
A new phone header, and pages that glide
- On a phone the header shows the app's mark on the chat, which turns into Back as you leave it, and in the middle the four main sections — Chat, Notes, Threads, Topics — with the one you are in raised and named.
- Moving between pages on a phone is a short glide with a quick fade, the menu slides in and out on iOS's own curve, and every page arrives whole instead of as a placeholder that then jumps.
- In the iPhone and Android apps the strips under the camera island and above the home bar now match white and black themes too, instead of staying dark.
- Notes: the «In question» folder is gone; a folder holding notes the AI is unsure about carries an amber dot, and tapping it shows just those notes. Each folder has its own address.
- On a phone the folders screen has a large title and grouped folders, and «Edit» lets you rename, move or delete a folder right there. The «+» moved to the left.
- On a computer the notes list is as wide as the chat's field and stands in the same place, so moving between the chat and Notes no longer makes the field change size.
- «What we remembered» opens softly from its chip and no longer jumps before it closes.
- All platforms
Delete what you don't need, and drag blocks smoothly
- Topics and threads have the note's controls: one bin icon that offers to delete or to archive, and thumbs up or down at the right. A topic no longer has the «continue in chat» icon.
- An atom can move to another group from its page, and its bin offers delete or archive, as on a note.
- Dragging a block in the note editor is smoother: the block waits dimmed in its place, the line glides to where it will land, the others slide aside, and the page scrolls by itself near the window's edge.
- Notes: a switch between the Apple-style view and the tree sits next to the title; a new folder starts from the «Folders» heading; a folder's right-click menu can create a note; the list lines up with the field below it.
- What we remembered closes when you click anywhere else, and the chat tour shows it. A «* » in the chat becomes a larger bullet.
- On a computer, «‹ back» sits beside the page instead of taking its own row. The Graph's title and field stay still when you switch views.
- Settings have larger section headings and start Appearance with the Notes style. The phone header is a little taller.
- All platforms
Back that retraces your steps
- On a phone, Back is on every screen but the chat and the editor and goes the way you came: from a note back to the atom you opened it from, then to the Graph, then to the chat. The menu is always one tap away, and the header no longer wastes space at the top.
- On a computer, a note or an atom opened from somewhere else shows a small «‹ back to …» link above it.
- What we remembered now lives in a chip in the bottom-right corner; it opens upward and folds back with a second click.
- Copying a message turns its icon into a tick — no notification. Saving a message offers clear tiles for a note, a topic or an atom, and shows what you picked.
- In the chat, Tab makes an inner list; Shift+Tab steps back out.
- Notes: «Create a note» stands out in the accent; folders have a «⋯» on hover, a right-click menu and rename on double-click; on a phone a floating «+» creates notes and folders.
- Settings are tabs again: Profile, Appearance (with the Notes style), Features and Data.
- Calmer motion: page changes fade through, the Graph's two views swap only the map, and long groups fold smoothly. Graph categories and links read in Russian.
- All platforms
Commands, dragging, and calmer notes
- In the note editor, type «/» at the start of a line for a menu of blocks — headings, lists, a checklist, a quote, code, a table, a divider, a collapsible section — and filter it by typing.
- On a computer every block of a note has a handle on hover: «+» adds a block below, the grip drags it to another place. A heading drags its whole section with it.
- Ticking checkboxes quickly in a note no longer ends in «This note changed while you were editing».
- The page no longer jumps when you start editing a note or rename its title; the «Link a note» window keeps its size while notes load.
- The note's controls are icons again — edit, move, tags, links, sources, delete, and the thumbs; «Your rating» under the note is gone. Tags have their own heading with «+ Add a tag» on the right.
- A table row offers to open only when there is something more in it.
- In Notes, a folder opens at once; «New note» is a button with its name.
- In the chat: «Clear memory» is now «Reset context»; a note's dialogue opens and folds smoothly; the memory panel no longer flashes open when you come back to the chat; a list started with «*» goes on after Shift+Enter in a message you edit too.
- New pages: the License agreement and the Privacy policy, linked from sign-up, the sign-in pages, the site's footer and Settings.
- All platforms
The About page moves more smoothly
- The notes story slides each step in as you scroll, instead of switching at once.
- Opening a question in the FAQ no longer makes the page jump; several can stay open.
- A link in the header, such as Download, now carries you to its section in one smooth page change.
- On a phone, touching a live picture never moves the page under your finger.
- All platforms
The About page, redesigned — and every picture of the app is live
- The page tells the same story in a calmer, clearer way: the app on the first screen, a demo that plays as you scroll, one note that becomes a list, a table and gains a column, and a short «what's next» instead of two separate «soon» sections.
- Every picture of the app works: type in the chat and it answers and keeps a card, tick a note's row, correct a fact, open a topic, reply in a thread, drag the graph. It all runs on the page — nothing you type is sent anywhere.
- Pick a theme on the first screen: the app's nine colour sets, dark or light. The page changes at once, and the app opens in the same theme.
- On a phone: a sections menu, shorter sections, and swipes where there were long stacks.
- All platforms
Every tap answered, and a Back you can predict
- One motion language: pressing, hovering, menus, sheets, folds, tabs and pages all move on the same four curves and one scale — and all of it quiets down when your system asks for reduced motion.
- On a phone a new screen slides in over the old one and Back slides it away again; opening a folder or a settings section slides too.
- Back is predictable now: it appears only inside a section and always goes up — a note to its folder, a thread to the message it grew from, an atom to the Graph, a section of Settings to Settings. The chat and the sections themselves have no Back; the menu switches between them.
- A note or an atom opened from a link inside a reply or another note goes back to where the link was.
- In the note editor on a phone the header reads Cancel · Note · Done.
- The segmented switches glide, the settings section you choose crossfades in, a folder's notes rise in, an archived thread folds away, the memory badge rolls its count, the theme change crossfades the whole page, and loading screens shimmer.
- All platforms
A new look for everything
- Cognitive OS wears one design now: a quiet 56-px header on a computer and a 102-px one on a phone with the memory badge and the menu drawer; one set of buttons, fields, chips, menus, dialogs and sheets everywhere; one motion language.
- Sign-up, sign-in, the password reset and the email confirmation on one calm screen: errors under the field they concern, nothing moves the button.
- The chat: day dividers, replies as prose, labelled actions with tooltips (on a phone under the newest reply, the rest behind «⋯»), «Thinking…» with the seconds, Stop in Send's place. What was kept is a quiet strip under the reply; the memory panel is rows on a rail that folds away and comes back from the header's pill; on a phone the badge opens it as a sheet.
- Threads and Topics: one list each with a search, row menus, the thread strip above its chat, the topic page with rename, archive and merge beside its button — no native dialogs anywhere.
- Notes in the Apple Notes style for everyone: folders on the left, the list on the right, the smart folder «In question», archive and deleted at the foot, one search answering by words and by meaning; the tree is one switch away in Settings → Notes. A phone shows the folders, then the list with Back.
- The note page: the labelled row (Edit, Move, Tags, Links, Sources, «⋯»), the foot with tags, links, sources and your rating on every width.
- The Graph: a subtitle, the count, one family of chrome over the untouched map, an empty map that says what to say; the atom page as a profile with labelled actions.
- Settings as sections — Profile, Appearance, Notes, Memory and data, Account and security — each feature switch saying what disappears when it is off.
- Tours on one card: beside its anchor on a computer, a sheet on a phone.
- All platforms
The chat turns a table column into chips
- Ask the chat to make a table column a status, a select or a multi-select and it does: the cells show as coloured chips, and a value is picked from the column's own.
- «Backlog» reads as a status not started yet.
- Rows the chat adds at the end of a table go into the table, not as lines of text under it.
- All platforms
Markdown mode can be switched off
- Settings → Features has a sixth switch, Markdown mode for notes. Switch it off and editing a note no longer shows the Note · Markdown choice — notes are edited in Note mode only. Nothing in the notes changes.
- All platforms
Leaner AI behind the scenes
- Replies and memory now run on lighter AI models, and each reply sends the AI a shorter slice of the conversation — older messages are still remembered and looked up when they matter. This keeps Cognitive OS affordable to run; if a reply ever feels worse than before, tap the thumbs-down under it and tell us.
- All platforms
The chat can move atoms between the Graph's groups
- Ask «move Misha into Family» on an atom's page, or «move the Family group into People» on the Graph, and it happens: an atom changes the group it's drawn in, or a whole group joins another.
- Before, the chat said it was done without being able to do it — it took «Family» for an atom of that name, or made up a new atom and a connection instead.
- All platforms
A note's tags lead to its neighbours
- Tap a tag under a note to see every note with that tag, and open any of them from there.
- The line under a note's title now says when it was created, then when it last changed.
- While editing, put the cursor inside a link and an icon appears just under it to remove the link — the words stay.
- All platforms
A note's page opens without a blink and eases into editing
- A note now opens perfectly still — the table and the chat field no longer settle into place a moment after it appears.
- Starting to edit fades the toolbar and the Note / Markdown switch in over the note, with the toolbar there at once even the first time; Save fades them out again. The note itself never moves.
- The tags no longer show a count, on the icon or above them.
- All platforms
An atom's details in your language, and a calmer Graph
- An atom's details are now named in your language — Role, Date of birth — on its page and on the Graph. New details are also written the way you say them; details noted earlier keep their old wording.
- Tapping a dot on the Graph opens its atom or note with the usual slide, on a phone too.
- On a phone, a connection or a detail too long for one line ends with an arrow that opens it whole and folds it back.
- A wrong connection is removed with a bin icon; the Ended button and the other names are hidden for now, as is the Graph's Dots / Details switch.
- WebDesktop
Sections fold away when you switch them off
- Switching Threads, Topics or the Graph off in Settings → Features now folds the section out of the menu at the top, its neighbours closing up; switching it on brings it back the same way.
- The two «What we remembered» switches now both start with its name: «What we remembered»: panel, and «What we remembered»: notices in the chat.
- All platforms
Switch off what you don't use
- Settings has a new Features tab: switch off Threads, Topics or the Graph, the «What we remembered» panel, or its notices in the chat. What's switched off leaves the menu, the chat and its pages.
- Nothing is lost: whatever was gathered stays, and is back as it was when you switch it on again. Everything starts on, and the choice follows your account to all your devices.
- Moving between the Settings tabs is animated now: the underline slides to the tab you pick, and its page comes in from that side.
- All platforms
Finding atoms as you type
- On an atom's page, picking the other atom for a new connection or for a merge is now a search: the list narrows with every letter, by name or by kind, and arrows and Enter pick from the keyboard.
- Adding a detail or a connection opens and closes smoothly instead of jumping.
- All platforms
The Graph fills the screen smoothly
- The full-screen button now grows the map out of its place on the page and shrinks it back the same way, the map staying drawn the whole time, instead of jumping.
- All platforms
A note's page: tags at the foot, headings that fold, editing that stays put
- A note's tags now sit at its foot, above its links. On a computer the tags, links and sources icons take you to their section and light it up once you're there; on a phone the tags icon opens them in a window.
- Every heading can fold the text under it — press the arrow beside it. What you fold stays folded when you start editing, and starting or finishing an edit no longer moves anything on the page.
- Tables in the editor: a row or column you drag lifts and follows the pointer while the others make room. The Row / Column switch now leads the table's panel and keeps your choice, and every button in the panel explains itself if you hover a moment.
- Selecting words no longer pops up a second toolbar, and Save simply closes the editor — every change is already saved as you go.
- All platforms
An atom's page, tidied up
- An atom's page now speaks your language from top to bottom: other names, details, connections, merging, the notes it's mentioned in.
- Under its name: when the atom was created and when it last changed. Rename, archive and delete are now icons with tooltips, beside a thumbs up and down — thumbs down asks what's wrong, as on a note.
- «Where it came from» opens and closes smoothly, and a tour walks you through every section of the page.
- On the Graph, switching between Knowledge atoms and Notes slides the map instead of jumping.
- All platforms
The Graph: tidier, smoother, and a tour of it
- Kinds of things now read in your language — medications, housing estates, gemstones, dog breeds and many more — and kinds that mean the same share one group.
- With many kinds, the colour legend shows the biggest few and folds the rest behind «+N more», so it no longer covers the map.
- The Dots / Details switch now does what it says: Details takes you close enough to see an atom's details, Dots hides them. The grouped-view button glides back and greys out when you're already there.
- A new button fills the screen with the map — above the chat field, never under it. Esc brings it back.
- Lines are soft curves, hovering an atom lights its connections in their colours, and on a phone you can pinch to zoom.
- The explanation above the map is now a five-step tour that shows you an atom on the map itself.
- WebDesktop
On a computer, the header stays at the top of Notes
- On Notes and on a note — reading or editing — the header no longer scrolls away: it stays at the top, as it does on a phone, so the other sections are always one click away.
- The editor's toolbar and Find sit right under it, and whatever you jump to — a section, the top of the note, a found word — lands just below it rather than behind it.
- WebDesktop
On a computer, the notes chat stays out of the way
- On Notes and on a note, clicking into the chat field no longer opens the chat. Type or record your request, and the field itself shows what's happening: Transcribing…, Thinking…, then a check mark when it's done.
- To read the conversation, use the new chat button beside the microphone — it shows a dot when a new reply is waiting. On a phone nothing changes.
- All platforms
Atoms in «What we remembered» say how many, and open smoothly
- A card for several atoms from one message now names their number — «Remembered 5 atoms» — and opens and closes with a slide instead of a jump: the line of names folds away as the list opens.
- A long line of names now ends with «…» inside the card instead of running past its edge.
- WebDesktop
«What we remembered» stays beside the chat while there's room
- On a computer, «What we remembered» now stays beside the chat as long as the chat fits next to it — from a window about 1090 px wide instead of 1440 — so it no longer folds into a button while there's still plenty of room.
- All platforms
Send and go: replies and voice messages finish without you
- Once you send a message you can close the app or leave the page — the reply is written and kept all the same, and it's there when you come back. If the app is open again while it's still being written, you'll see it arrive.
- A voice message is ours the moment it's uploaded: it's transcribed, sent and answered even if you close the app straight after recording. If the upload itself didn't finish, the recording waits on your device and goes the next time you open the app.
- Stop still stops the reply — only Stop does; a dropped connection never cuts it off.
- All platforms
To-dos in tables, notes that stay where you drop them, and smoother everything
- A line in a table cell that starts with [ ] is now a to-do box — tick it right on the note's page, without opening the editor. In the editor, type [] and a space at the start of a cell to make one.
- Drag a note or a folder on Notes and the list opens up exactly where it will land; drop it and it stays there. Notes you never moved keep their usual order.
- Archived and deleted notes show when they went there, with a button to bring each one back. Deleting a folder now asks first, like deleting a note.
- On a computer, a note's tags are always shown. A table only offers the widths it isn't at, and widening it, folding its rows and opening a note's sources all move smoothly — so do search results everywhere as you type.
- A very long note is now walked a section at a time by its side buttons, instead of jumping straight to the top or the end.
- All platforms
Empty lines in a note stay where you put them
- Press Enter a few times while editing a note — say, to leave room above a table — and the empty lines are now kept when the note is saved, instead of disappearing.
- All platforms
Settings in two tabs, and the memory panel on either side
- Settings now opens on two tabs: Main — your account, language and import — and Interface — the theme and how the page is laid out.
- On a computer you can put «What we remembered» to the left of the chat instead of the right: Settings → Interface. The chat stays in the middle of the window either way; in narrower windows the panel slides in from the side you chose.

Voice messages send themselves
- Stop recording and the message is sent — no second tap. It appears in the chat straight away with its player, says “Transcribing…” until its text shows up underneath, and the field says “Transcribing…”, then “Thinking…” while the reply is on its way.
- To fix a word the transcription got wrong, edit the sent message: the recording stays with it and the reply is written again. This works the same in the main chat and in the chat on a note's page.

Bring your Obsidian vault
- Import & data → Import from Obsidian brings a whole vault in: in the Cognitive OS app for Mac choose the vault, in a browser choose its folder or a .zip. Only its Markdown notes are read; attachments, canvases and drawings are counted and named.
- The vault lands in a folder of its own with its folders inside. Its links become links between your notes — they open the note, show in backlinks and draw the notes graph. Tags stay tags, other properties become chips, and the dates in the notes are kept.
- Leave out folders like Templates before the review. Nothing is merged on its own: a note that looks like one you already have is offered, and you can merge it later from the import's page.
- Import the vault again any time to bring only what's new or changed — even if you renamed its folder here. Undo works as for Apple Notes, and the vault itself is never written to.
- Callouts, comments, math and queries come over as written. A callout reads as one, and when you edit, Obsidian's own syntax is kept exactly.
- Cognitive OS for Mac 1.0.4 remembers your vaults and shows how many notes changed since the last import. It updates itself.

The About page keeps each section's title in view
- While you scroll through a long section of the About page, its title stays at the top; when the section ends, the next one's takes its place.
- The app's demo near the top now has its own title, «How it works», and section titles fit in two lines on a phone.

One chat field everywhere, notes that hold still, and links saved by their names
- On a computer the chat field stands in the same place on every page — the chat, Notes, a note, the Graph — so moving between them only changes its words. «What we remembered» sits beside the chat on windows from 1440 px wide; on narrower ones it opens from its button.
- The chat field and the chat it opens into now stand out from the page under them, with a soft accent on their edge.
- Notes: every line's buttons are at its end. Hover a note to edit, move or archive it right there; a long name shows in full in a tooltip and when you open it.
- Starting an edit no longer makes the note jump, and in a table being edited the row and column actions sit in a bar at the bottom of the window instead of menus over the table. The buttons above a table say what they do.
- Save a place or a page with its link and the note shows its name as a link that opens in a new tab — not the bare address.

The About page compares Cognitive OS with nine apps, one at a time
- The comparison on the About page is now a set of cards you swipe or click through: ChatGPT, Obsidian, Heptabase, Mem, Khoj, Recall, Capacities, me.bot and Nessie.
- Every card asks the same five questions and says first what the other app does well.

FAQ: ask at the bottom, get answers with sources
- The FAQ is asked in the same field as the chat under your notes — docked at the bottom on a computer and on a phone, opening into the chat when you tap it. It says «Ask about the app».
- Every answer cites the help like a search engine: a small number after each claim, and the pages it came from, numbered, under the answer. A tap on one opens that page.
- Each FAQ page has its own address and slides in as you move through the menu; the menu holds still. On a computer the menu and the pages are wider.

Notes on a computer work like on the phone, and sections that fold
- On a computer the chat on Notes and on a note waits at the bottom, in the same place on both pages, and opens into the conversation when you click it — as on the phone. Click above it or press Esc to fold it.
- After the chat changes the note you're on, everything it changed keeps a soft highlight until your next request.
- A note can fold parts away: «Collapsible section» in the editor's Insert menu, or ask the chat to make one. They show folded until you open them.
- On a computer the note's icons sit under its title as on the phone (links and sources scroll to their sections), a long title stays on one line, and long notes get buttons to their top and end.
- Notes: a new folder's name field unfolds into place, and a new note or a note's preview opens with the page slide. Saying no to a tour no longer points at the ? in the header.

Import single Apple notes, and a Share sheet that looks like the app
- The Mac import picks single notes, not only folders: folders open to show their notes, and a search finds notes by title and folders by name. This needs Cognitive OS for Mac 1.0.3, which installs itself the next time you quit or restart the app.
- The import page and the Share sheet from Apple Notes on the Mac are redesigned: choices as cards, every note's status at a glance, the app's own colours.
- On a phone, a swipe down folds the open chat on Notes and on a note's page.

What's new by platform, and one page for every download
- What's new marks each update with where it arrived — web, desktop, mobile, or all of them — and can show just one platform's updates.
- A new Download page gathers every way to get Cognitive OS: the Mac app, the apps on their way, and the browser. What's new links to it at the top.
- The Mac app's page reads in one column: how to install it, what you get, and its update history.

The menu in one order everywhere, and what we remembered arrives visibly
- On a computer the menu now has the same order as on the phone, and Settings is a line of its own.
- «Cognitive OS» in the header opens the product page, with the page slide.
- In «What we remembered» every new thing comes in with a little movement: on a computer the moment it is saved; on a phone when you open the panel — only what is new since you last looked.

Talk to a page's chat, and split a big note in one go
- On a phone, tapping the mic in the chat under a note or on Notes opens the chat, and it stays open for the reply — voice works just like typing. Tapping inside the open chat no longer folds it.
- Every message in that chat, earlier ones included, has a Copy button, and a new reply scrolls smoothly to its first line.
- Asking the chat to split a note — by years, by sections — now copies each part exactly into its own note in one go, whatever the size, and files them all in the folder you name. Asked again, it finishes a split that stopped half-way.
- When the chat has changed your notes, it always answers with what it did — it no longer goes silent after the work.

Themes: nine colour sets, dark, light or Auto
- Settings → Theme has nine colour sets — Cognitive OS, Apple Notes, Obsidian, ChatGPT, Claude, Dune, Ocean, Sage and Rose — each dark or light, or Auto, which follows your phone or computer and turns dark at night by itself.
- Apple Notes, Obsidian, ChatGPT and Claude look like those apps: their colours are taken from the apps themselves, and so are their typefaces.
- The choice is kept on your account and follows you to every device; the iPhone and Android apps show light themes from their next update.

Deleted notes wait 30 days, and the phone's chat moves with the keyboard
- One bin icon on a note asks whether to archive it or delete it. A deleted note waits 30 days in Deleted on Notes — restore it from there, or erase it at once — and is erased after that. Deleting from the chat works the same way.
- On a phone the chat under a page opens with its messages already in it, and opens and folds with the keyboard as one motion; hiding the keyboard folds it.
- On a phone the note's icons read edit, move, links, tags, delete, sources, 👍 👎; tags show only when their icon is on, and links and sources live behind their icons. A long title stays on one line and scrolls sideways.
- Back from a note to Notes no longer shakes the folders; a new subfolder unfolds its folder; naming a folder on a phone brings it up under the header, clear of the keyboard.
- In the chat, a tap anywhere on a reply that points at a note opens the note.
- All platforms
Notes tidied up
- The menu always opens over the page — a note's chat no longer covers it.
- A note's actions are icons in one row: edit, move, archive, delete.
- A table shows only the controls that would change it, and any column can be pinned or unpinned from its menu — none is pinned by default.
- In the editor, every header cell has a chevron for its menu, the table's row and column are icons, the labels say what they do, and the button reads Save.
- Folders and previews open and fold smoothly; Import, What's new and the Mac download slide in like the rest of the app; linking a note no longer makes its window jump.
- All platforms
Any note editable by asking, and a note page made for the phone
- Long notes — imported ones included — are changed by asking, without confirmation: the chat edits the text in place instead of rewriting the whole note, so it no longer turns a big note down.
- On a phone, tapping the chat field under a note opens it into the chat — two-thirds of the screen, with the conversation as in the chat — and its handle folds it back.
- After a change, the note scrolls to the changed place behind the chat and lights it up; «Show the note» folds the chat.
- When a request fails, the chat's last message says what to do, with a Try again button.
- Long notes on a phone get two small buttons: to the top and to the end.
- The phone's menu has Settings, just above Sign out.

A download page for the Mac app

What's new, and a Mac app that updates itself
- This page: every update to Cognitive OS, newest first. It's linked at the bottom of the home page.
- Cognitive OS for Mac keeps itself up to date from version 1.0.2: it checks a few times a day, downloads a new version in the background and installs it when you quit or restart the app. If you have 1.0.1, download 1.0.2 once — from then on, updates come by themselves.
- The home page shows the current version of the Mac app next to its download.

Import from Apple Notes
- Bring your Apple Notes into Cognitive OS. Before anything is saved you review each note — new, added to one of yours, or already here — and a whole import can be undone from its page in Settings → Import & data. Apple Notes itself is never changed.
- The Cognitive OS app for Mac, for Apple silicon and Intel: File → Import from Apple Notes… brings in the whole library, chosen folders, or only what changed since last time. Headings, lists, checklists, tables and links come along, and an import you quit picks up where it stopped.
- Single notes: in Notes on a Mac, Share → Send Copy → Cognitive OS. The iPhone app, now in testing, does the same from the Share menu in Notes.
- Highlights: text between == marks shows highlighted in notes, and the editor has a highlight button and ⌘⇧H.
- Typed shortcuts for bold, italic and the rest no longer fail when the keyboard inserts a whole word at once.
- On a phone, saying no to a page tour simply closes it.

A clearer sign-up, and the phone's welcome inside the menu
- On the sign-in page, the note for people without an account stands out and, on a wide screen, sits beside the form.
- On a phone, the welcome tour opens the menu and goes on inside it, section by section.

What we remembered, by day — and pages that slide
- What we remembered is grouped by day, with a time on every line; the people, places and things noticed in one message fold into one card.
- Every link between pages slides instead of jumping — from the chat to a note, note to note, back to Notes and back to the chat.
- Questions about a period — “what did I do last week?” — also read the dates written inside your notes.
- A message that creates or changes a note still gets its atoms: the people, places and projects in it.
- The Notes tree's controls are icons with tooltips.
- On a phone, a voice message that failed no longer crowds the field: the reason shows in the error bar, and retry and discard are icons.

Notes like Notion: tables, links between notes, folders you drag
- Notes save as you type. Tables work the way Notion's do — column types, filters, sorting, widths — while reading as well as while editing.
- Link notes to each other: a link shows as a chip with a page icon, and a note lists the notes that link to it.
- The Notes tree has one line per note: drag notes and folders into folders, and fold the tree line by line. Every note lives in a folder.
- A note's own chat works on that note; other notes change only when you name them.
- The page slides between the chat and a section instead of jumping.

Edit a note as it reads, or as Markdown
- Edit any note in Note mode, as it reads, or in Markdown mode, as its source. Switching never loses a word, and Markdown the editor doesn't support is kept as it is.
- Archive a note, and delete or archive one by asking in the chat.
- In the iPhone app (in testing), the header stays in place and the chat rides up and down with the keyboard; a tap on the field takes you to the latest message.

A real conversation first, and replies that arrive whole
- Ask a question, think out loud or ask for advice, and you get a real answer — direct, in depth, with a next step. When you work with your notes and memory, it acts first and then confirms what it did.
- A reply appears whole, under pulsing dots while it's being written, and the chat scrolls once to its start.
- What you say starts being understood while the reply is being written, so it's kept right after the reply instead of a while later.
- General questions — “tell me about…”, comparisons — get a general answer instead of a search of your memory.
- A thumbs down asks what was wrong, in words or by voice.
- The FAQ has its own assistant that answers questions about Cognitive OS, and walkthrough cards sit next to what they point at.

Suggest an idea, voice into the field, and Topics first
- Suggest an idea: tell us what's missing, follow its status, and talk it over with the team — people, not the AI.
- A voice message lands in the field as text, so you can fix it before sending.
- Topics come before Threads, Threads can be searched by word or by meaning, and the chat makes a topic when you ask for one.
- The Notes page has search, a new note in any folder, and a chat of its own.
- Every note the chat touches shows in What we remembered; lists continue as you type in every field, and a note's checklists can be ticked while reading.
- Start over is now Reset account, and asks before it erases anything. Telling Cognitive OS the same thing twice no longer stores it twice.

Memory by meaning, Start over, and the apps in testing
- Memory matches by meaning: a new message adds to the note or topic it belongs to instead of starting a duplicate, and questions about what you told it are answered right in the chat.
- Start over, in the header, takes the account back to its first sign-in.
- On a phone: a menu, a one-line field, and page tours that ask before they start.
- A request made on the Graph, a note or an atom's page is kept and listed on that page.
- A note's page, the Graph and the chips under the chat speak Russian.

Cognitive OS opens
- One chat that remembers: talk about your day, plans and ideas, and it keeps what matters — the people, places and projects in your life.
- Notes that write themselves: related messages become one note and later ones extend it. Change any note by asking — “add a column”, “merge with…”, “split into…”.
- Ask your memory in plain words, and replies draw on what you told it. Topics gather what you talk about, and the Graph shows how it all connects.
- Threads to go deep on one subject without derailing the main chat, Save to keep a message on purpose, and voice messages instead of typing.
- What we remembered: a log beside the chat shows what each message became. See what it keeps, correct it, or clear it.
